I Heart...

I heart the world tonight, especially those plumber guys!! All is good... I've showered, brushed my teeth, gone to the bathroom (and flushed the toilet!), and had a cup of tea (made with water that poured out of the faucet, fresh and clean, as opposed to sputtering out, all brown and smelly)... I got a great new haircut (and a slightly darker color) this afternoon... I'm at 54% of my fundraising goal for the 3-Day Event Breast Cancer Walk (you guys have been so generous!)... and I'm looking forward to my birthday this weekend, as the Republican is taking me out to my favorite restaurant, where I'll have some gorgeous red wine and dessert before going to the movies (and no, even though we're going out on Valentine's Day, it's NOT romantic!).

So, in honor of my birthday and the fact that today ended up all warm and fuzzy, I'm going to post a list of things I love (things other than the obvious - Ryan, Sundance, my family and friends, etc)... 44 things to be precise, as that's how old I'm turning on Sunday...
1. Tulips
2. Duck egg blue walls
3. Simple silver jewelry
4. Little English villages
5. Books and bookstores
6. Hand-knitted sweaters
7. Rain

HAPPY 44th BIRTHDAY!
(We are the same age)

Please email me your address because I want to send a handwritten note, on blue stationary, spritzed with vanilla and the envelope will be licked buya puppy so you can smell his breath!

I love you! I just want to make you happy.

You know, I have a lot of those things at my house. Visit! I'll even clean the big tub really, really good so you can take a soaker! But, I'll tell you like I told Brianna: you can only use the back of the tub to put your bowls full of water, not the front because it might spill out on the floor. And, it you pout or whine about it, you'll have to get out as soon as you've washed your hair!

Forget duck egg blue walls. I just love duck eggs. On my 44 list (a few years away) they would be top.

Wow..44 is a wise age! Happy coming birthday Diane..love the list except the puppy breath and lambs..I have phobia of furry animals. I smell something about the Republican..no?

I am so, so pleased that you are sorted, and would it surprise you to know that we would have practically the same list of 44, except mine would be 45! So you can have Gerard Butler to yourself, for your birthday - I hope you have a wonderfully happy one, Diane - love and birthday hugs x

Glad to hear that your plumbing is in order.;))
And I can't help but wondering whether that Republican might still become someone serious in the future. Just a hunch.;)
I love all the things you list, they could have been mine.
And a very "early" happy Birthday, my friend.;)))

Loved the list... we agree on all but the puppy breath. Thrilled to hear that your cup runneth over again fresh and clear.

44? My MIL would say, "That's a big number!" (Not really, though.) Prime time is more like it. SO ENJOY!! Especially on your birthday. Have a happy, happy day and year!

Puppy breath?! Ew! ;)

Happy Birthday!! 44 sounds lucky to me and why haven't we seen this new cut and color? Hm??

Have fun on your un-romantic date. Unless of course I'm reading this late (forgot to check the date and too lazy to do it now...) in which case I hope you DID have fun on the red wine/dessert date with the republican ;)

Well good thing you didn't have to kill anyone and dump them in the ditch. Glad to hear you have your water back. Happy early birthday!

I love most of those things, too! And Gerard Butler... mmmmm, yummy! Netflix actually deliverd a movie of his yesterday that I fully intend on watching tonight - Rock n Rolla? It seemed to pass to DVD fairly quickly, but with him in it, it has to be good. And if it sucks, I'll just put it on mute and watch. :)

OH and I almost forgot... Happy early birthday!!!!!

Happy Happy Birthday!

Your list made me so happy! I love all those things too ... but I didn't realize them til you painted such beautiful images in my mind.

Enjoy your non-date. Splurge on the dessert!

And I'm going to link to your breast cancer walk page in my Writer's Workshop tomorrow! You will definitely make your goal ... I'm sure!

Nah I'm not your friend Todd. I live in a place called Shoreham, but given the fact that everything in our country is built by a couple of companies that could explain the similarity!

mo.stoneskin said...

Todd and I should meet, all though it might lead to a deadly conversational spiral of death. Glad you know Shoreham :)

Is this kinda blog convo permitted? I mean it must confuse the hell out of people!!

Dude, is it weird that I put your birthday on my calendar so that I don't forget to send wishes your way?

swenglishexpat said...

44! Pah, nothing! I don't think I could even think the number of things I love. Before I get to the end of the list I've forgotten the first ones. I was 17 when you were born!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY girl! ;-)

I am so with you on the puppy breath, hardwood floors, handwritten letters, and the magazines. Yes! What a perfect afternoon that would make.

And hurray for plumbers!!!
