Yawn...

I’m tired. Very tired. I’m not sleeping well at the moment… dunno why. I normally wake up at least once during the night, usually around 3am, and then I go right back to sleep. But for the last several nights I’ve been up at 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, etc. I hate that. It’s worse than when Ryan was a baby I was getting up 2 or 3 times a night to feed her. And last night I had this really freaky nightmare… shriveled, bony, grey arms came out of an electrical outlet behind my bed and tried to pull me in. Weird, huh? Anyone care to analyze? I woke up paralyzed, in a cold sweat. When that happens, I really miss having someone in bed with me. Just being able to roll over and touch another person… to feel someone else’s warmth… it just sort of sucks the fear and cold right out of you. You know? Sigh.

Anyway, here’s to a good night’s sleep… fingers crossed…

Diane, when I was young, someone with a chainsaw could be cutting lumber in the room and I would sleep right through it. In recent years I have become a very light sleeper, I hear everything. And talk about freaky nightmares, I have at least one similar to yours every week. I have been told it is good to write them down, but I never do. Anyway, I hope last night was a better one for you.

I woke up at 5:45 a.m. today for no reason, if that helps. We can be awake together.

Did those shriveled, bony, grey arms belong to Glen Campbell by any chance?

Sorry to hear about your lack of sleep. I recommend coffee as a replacement for sleep.

Oh, those arms are just me stalking your blog. No worries.

Ugh. I go though bouts of insomnia every month or two and let me just say: lying awake unable to fall asleep when you know you're exhausted and have to get up in a few hours is the *worst* feeling. Here's hoping you get some sleep. :)

I am sorry...I think it's time to move the bed! When I have trouble sleeping ...I sometimes change beds and go to the spare bedroom...I don't know why it's works but it does!

I have had trouble sleeping for years but things got really bad when Mom passed away this summer. I have night terrors - my mind is so freaked out I scare myself awake all night long. The only way I sleep is with Lunesta.
