Tiny Bubbles...

Have you ever washed out your mug but not rinsed it properly, so that your next cup of tea tastes like soap? Man, I really hate it when that happens.

I've got one better! I don't always rinse out my big pots enough so the next time I go to boil water it starts to overflow with foam. And yes once, I didn't dump it and start over and our pasta had a hint of soap taste to it, I played dumb with Jon over it, that was our first year of marriage, I figured I was allowed to play dumb over stuff like that.

I thought that had happened the first (and only) time I was given Earl Grey tea. Tasted of my Granny's wardrobe. All perfume and soap.

Diane, that happened to me with vine glasses! Yuck, red vine with soap bubbles, not a good taste.;)
Additionally, I hang a sort of an air freshener in the dishwasher; it suppose to get rid of the bad smell. It works, except that all my plastic takes up this flowery odor making all my food and drinks taste funky.:)

Gag. Spit. Repeat.

My kids gave me grief - they used to squirt the dishwashing liquid onto the end of the tap in the sink when they were washing dishes. Most detergent went into the sink and the dishes were washed ok. BUT when I filled the kettle from the tap I would get detergent in the kettle.

I find earl grey and Dawn have a nice synchronicity when mixed...
