Happy Day!

Let me start this post by saying thank you to everyone for the gazillion Happy Birthday wishes and ecards! You guys are the best!!! I don't think I've ever in my whole life had my birthday acknowledged by so many people. I'm really touched and so very appreciative. Oh, and Sherri? Please tell Big Al thanks so much for the picture of him in his sexy boxer shorts... it was my favorite present and I framed it right away and put it on my nightstand!

(Yeah, sometimes I crack myself up, too! ;)

I had a great dinner/movie non-date with the Republican last night. His politics suck but he's really a sweet guy and he even brought me flowers. Awwww. We saw Taken with Liam Neeson, which was pretty good, though very violent and a smidge (and by 'smidge' I mean 'really, seriously, awfully') disturbing. Definitely not typical Valentine's Day or birthday fare. Anyway, I got home late and wound up staying up until 3am chatting with one of my favorite bloggy people who lives in a different time zone (and therefore probably didn't/won't wake up all bleary-eyed and incoherent this morning... like I did). But it was good... you bloggy people are pretty cool!

This morning Ryan gave me my birthday present. Remember how I said that she always tries so hard to pick out the perfect present? Well, she did it again. Andrew Wyeth is one of my favorite artists... he did a painting called Master Bedroom, which I've loved since the first time I saw it, several years ago. Ryan got me the print... you can probably tell why I like it so much....
Look familiar?

Thanks again to everyone for the birthday wishes! I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend! And now I'm off to catch up on blogs, as I'm way behind... later, 'gators!

Hah, when the first picture pulled up in my blog reader I was like, "Whoa, that's her bedroom?! How like .. umm ... masculine of her!" :-) I'm glad to see the concrete room hasn't consumed you yet! :-)

I love the print.

So, did you decide not to meet again because of his sucky politics?

Sorry I forgot to wish you a happy birthday...despite your previous posts...but I hope I can be forgiven.

Consider this a late but thoughtful birthday card.

Happy Birthday!

So sweet...yes, I saw Taken as well and I have to say it was disturbing!
It was great seeing Liam (yes, first name basis) in a different sort of role! But...when he shot the wife of his friend...I told my husband "God...I would have left him too!"
All in all good movie...extremely disturbing though!
I am glad you had a nice birthday!

Happy Birthday!!!!

We saw "Taken" as our Valentine's movies also. =D i figured since he was putting up with my love of Disney, I'd let him pick the movie. I was surprised at crowded the theater was.

And, again, i think ryan is incredible - so thoughtful. good job, mom!

Happy Birthday Buddy! Did you get my card (and Ryan's V-day card?) I'm afraid I mailed it too late. Is that picture from your current house or your former house? See what I did there? Not calling you out like you said I did last time?

How did I miss this post?

Okay, NOW I'M TICKED!

When Big AL asked me to take pics of him, he said they were for ME!

I'm glad he only sent the one of him wearin' his boxers!

That WAS the only one, right?

I didn't see it framed on your nightstand, but I guess you took this photo before the x-rated email?

Remember, He's a REPUBLICAN!!!! and MARRIED to a REPUBLICAN!

You don't wanna' be messing with a married Republican's man- you know how we get when we're angry!
(I'm tellin' O'Reilly!)

Now be honest...Is the reason you have never shared "THE REPUBLICAN'S " true identity because he is married to me?

I need to know.

Oh Sherri, Sherri... Sherri, Sherri... Sherri, Sherri, Sherri...

You should talk to Big Al... and send him my love... ;)

Heeheeheeheeheeheeheeheeheehee...

I was going to leave this message on your site but I didn't want to sully your preacher's post ;)

Sherri Murphy said...

Thank you. I appreciate your being considerate at all.

Considering you're having a cyber affair with my boxer wearin' REPUBLICAN husband!

I'm going to talk to Big Al now.
(I hate it when I'm the last to know.)

I guess I've lost my 'better than most Christians' status, eh?

You know I'm not that kind of girl. No matter how hot Big Al is (or how much he begs ;). I love ya, darlin'!

Ryan hit this one out of the ballpark! That was a great gift ... so eerily familiar for you all! I've seen that print before and I always liked it. Awesome! What a great daughter you have! But I think you already know that.

I don't even think I've heard of Taken...but I don't do disturbing so I might not bother with it! : )

You know that denial thing we talked about? You might want to revisit that with your "nondates".

We are sooo much alike...its scary! I got a new Doo last week dyed my hair.... a darker RED...AND for Valentines saw the Movie TAKEN with my non-date friend. Great Movie...but how about the part when Liam shot that sweet lady in the arm at the dinner table. I was like...damn...that was RUTHLESS!

I'm finally catching up on blogs, too! It's been a week or so... HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!! Sorry to have missed it! Love your doggie/bed photo. Looks so cozy. Hope all is well - and thanks for the thoughtful comments. I already mentioned, I am stealing your "Humble Pie tastes like Chicken" title. Loved that. I need to go reread that post of yours.
