Mount Sewer

This is the front yard right now.
Pretty, huh? Now I don't need to leave the house to go hiking. Cool. Or, if I decide to murder someone, I've got a convenient dump site for the body. Oh, and for all that digging? There. Is. Still. No. Water. I had to brush my teeth at McDonalds this morning. Nice.

There is a guy from the city outside right now, digging up the street with a big old noisy yellow contraption. If he and his little friends can't supply us with water by this evening... you know that whole murder/body dump thing I mentioned above? Yeah... it's on.

Is that your 4x4? Sweet.

Goodness me! ;-) Had it not been for that 4x4 (and a few other bits) it could have been a trench from WWI in Flanders.

Diane, is that chair positioned out there so that you can do the supervision of the task in hand?!

Don't be holding that shotgun while you are sitting there rocking, mind! You'll get a bad name that way, you know.

My thoughts are with you, but I know they aren't as good as a tank of hot water... xox

Hang on. I might have something to put in that ditch before it's filled.

Sorry you are out of water! No water is worse than no electricity in my book - at least until toilets are electrically powered.

I say you go out there and take some pictures. They might work a little faster.

Jane's been plotting and planning for a long time....someone should warn Homer. this might be too tempting.

hope they get it fixed soon.

I caught up with your blog from the last slackish week of mine. Our septic tank is clogged, so, while I haven't had to experience the waterfall, and I still have water, I know how sucky it can be to be sas toilet. I hope it gets better, much quicker. If not, I'd invest in a camp toilet. That's where I'm heading soon! lol

Aw, Diane, I feel so sorry for you! I would be very, very, VERY angry too. I can not take one day without water or shower.
Can you sue someone?;)) Get BIG monetary compensation? It is better than that murder thingy.;))

Oooh, that sucks. I'm sorry. Really, I am. Brushing your teeth at McDonalds? Not so much fun, I imagine. Hope things get patched up soon. :)

So sad. Your post was hilarious, but your situation is deplorable. No fun. Poor you and Ryan, too.

I don't want to laugh, but you say it all in such a funny way, I can't help myself!

I just hope some joker doesn't come in the middle of the night and put some of that 'Police Crime Scene - Do Not Cross' tape around that trench or you'll be without water for a week!
Not that I would do such a thing if I were there ;-)

All part of being a home owner. I have had the same thing too! Bit e the bullet, pay "da man" and get your water and loo back! And inspect it before the re-bury it! If there is more work that should be done, I'd make sure it gets done while they have it dug up (I've seen these guys try to get themselves some job security that way!!).

Perhaps they are just delivering a trench latrine?

I'm SO sorry for you right now. I may have a bank examiner or two to put in your ditch though... so that's at least lucky for me, huh?

Ugh! I hope it gets cleared up soon. Maybe you should go out there and start acting all crazy or hitting on the workers. Offer them weird cookies and tell them you didn't have water for the recipe so you had to get 'creative' ...

Only you could make something like this so amusing! Hope you get water soon ... can't even imagine having to go to McDonalds to brush my teeth! But then it is a good excuse to get Cinnamelts!

Oh, bummer. I feel for you. Once I was vacationing in Jamaica and the water workers went on strike. By day four, there was no more bottled water and we were brushing our teeth with pepsi. Yech! But at least I had water at home when I got back. Hang in there and keep us posted!

Gulp. No water? You had to brush your teeth at McDonalds? You had to get out of your car???

Hope the water's back on.

Nice ditch. I hate it when they do that.

Hmmm.... just as I suspected? City problem? Ick! Sorry about all that mess. That is JUST how my dad's yard looked - though there was about a quarter mile of it to the road!
