Somewhere...

Somewhere is a pretty little cottage
with a door the color of sunshine

Inside lives love
The little cottage ~
home to warmth and joy…
to forgiveness and grace
The yellow door ~
closed tight to regret…
to fear…
to everything that ‘should have been

Somewhere is a pretty little cottage
with a door the color of sunshine
Inside lives hope
The little cottage ~
home to laughter and hugs…
to compassion and possibility
The yellow door ~
closed tight to doubt…
to criticism…
to ‘not good enough

Somewhere is a pretty little cottage
with a door the color of sunshine
Inside live open minds
The little cottage ~
home to passion and purpose…
to generosity and gratitude
The yellow door ~
closed tight to judgment…
to hate…
to ‘it can’t be done

Somewhere is a pretty little cottage
with a door the color of sunshine

And someday…
I’ll find it

Beautiful!

I'm sneaking over to paint your door tonight, because I believe all of these things are wherever YOU live.

I do.

I wish you saw it, my dear friend.

I do.

Such beautiful writing Diane it touched my heart and such a lovely place to live... you know I wish that was my door as my favourite colour is yellow and my favourite number is 22.

I hope you find your pretty little cottage but I feel you have all of those blessings and ideals right now. ♡

Very beautifully written. Our house really has a yellow door.

I'm with blognut. You can't see the forest for the trees!

YOU have built this house, and opened the bright yellow door and closed it when necessary.

You've allowed me to visit and I'm forever grateful.

well, I have a guess, though mine isn't as bright as yours.
I'm thinking that when I find one of those doors,
and I knock quietly
(I always knock quietly)
You'll be the one openning it and standing there.

Kind'a reminds me of a hobbit place.
And whoever answers will have a smile upon their face.
All of the glorious Sunlight
making all your flowers so very bright!
And a hand drawn water pump out back (for just in case)

At least you are looking. Most people don't find what they want because they sorta kinda hope that it will look for them.

Gorgeous words and I, too am with Blognut...that door is already found. Now open it! :)

Diane, I am looking for that somewhere, too. The entrance is so blindingly bright, you would think it would be easy to find, but it isn't.

Your optimism is what makes you so beautiful... your willingness to search and not to give up... and your kindness. Keep looking and call me when you get there. OK?

Did somebody asks for pink? Mine would be pink too! I love every single word you wrote..you're just so good at expressing things beautifully! I think it's closer to you than what you think now. Just keep your eyes open okay!

Oh yes, go ahead and paint that door! Don't look for it....create it!

I love yellow...it warms the soul and makes everything seem so much better.

Most of the homes I have lived in I have painted some of the rooms with yellow. This house is no exception. Right now I am surrounded with yellow walls....and I plan of expanding the yellow to other rooms as well!!

Keep looking!

I live there but the door is blue - you're welcome to stop by any time. Maybe we can repaint the door ;)

I want to live in that pretty little cottage too!

I think the obvious answer is to look at your own door. If it is not already sunshine collred, then you should paint it, because You seem to already live there.

much hugs and big smile and wave!!
