The Warm Fuzzies...

I've decided to do a Fhina-esque, picture-filled post today about stuff that gives me the warm fuzzies, prompted by a tag from Greenfingers, one of my favorite introspectives (introspective can be used as a noun, right?).

Anyway, the tag decrees that I list six unimportant things that make me happy. Hmmmm... how can anything that makes me happy be unimportant?!

So, because I'm all rebel-like (hear me yell!), I'm going to break the rules (as usual), and list ten important things that make me happy! Whoo hoo! With pictures! Whoo hoo hoo! (I don't know why I'm so excited, really. I think it might be the 4 cans of Diet Pepsi...). Anyway, without further ado, here are my warm fuzzies...

1. Rain... any kind of rain... torrential downpours, light spring drizzles, thunderstorms... I love being out in it, coming in from it, everything about it. 2. Tulips... big beautiful bouquets (or fields) of tulips... any color. 3. Tea... hot... Tetley British Blend... milk and one sugar. Warms you body and soul. 4. Swinging (no, not that kind! Get your minds out of the gutter, people!)... since I was little, swinging high makes me feel free... and carefree. I still do it, every chance I get. 5. Puppies... when I see a puppy, it's physically impossible for me not to stop and make a fuss. 6. The Farmer's Market... YUM! Nothing beats fresh, organic, local produce!7. Camping... with my girl and my dog. They are the best weekends of the year! 8. The Sea... any season... any weather... any day... any night... any coast... any country... 9. Swimming... it's how I meditate. The pool is the only place where it's quiet in my head. 10. Believe... it's my favorite word. Sometimes I need reminding... to believe... in myself, in the world, that everything will be OK. One day I'm going to have it tattooed on the inside of my left wrist.

Now, I'm supposed to tag six people to do this... but you know me (rebel, remember?)... so I tag anyone who wants to do it!

And can I just say, Fhina has my complete respect for taking the time to do this picture-posting stuff all the time. Lord, but this was hard work! The formatting never works properly for me when I post photos and I wind up pulling my hair out trying to get it right... and then pulling more out when I have to fix it once I've published. Yeah... don't expect another post with lots of piccies anytime soon! XO

I don't even have to do this because you already did and I like all 10 of these things. Except I would have put a Diet Pepsi in place of that tea... or a black coffee. 'Cause the tea, meh, not so much.

Okay, I like 9 of these things, and you can keep your tea on your half of the brain, 'k?

And that tattoo on the wrist... can we do a buy-one-get-one discount on that?

blognut said...

...and can my tattoo be a sticker? 'Cause needles freak me out a little. Especially when they're sticking out of me.

mo.stoneskin said...

I'm with Blognut on the needles front.

Tetley? Twinings is what you want.

So when you get an award to pass on to X people you just pass it to one, and when you get a task to list 6 things you list 10! Rule-breaker.

Beautiful list and beautiful pictures. I love the last one with the believe stone, how serene.;)
Yes, posting pictures is a hard work, often it looks way different in the preview than in the actual post.
I share all your happiness; especially the sea; being on a secluded, calm beach surrounded by palm trees and clean green sea, feeling the sun on my face and the sand between my toes is the ultimate happy place for me to be.;)
Wishing you a happy Thursday.;)

Even though it was alot of work, the photos look amazing against your background.

All good choices, too.

Gorgeous gorgeous photos you chose!! Every.single.one.of.them!!!

Stunning.

The camping photo is perfection!! So is the tea photo!!!

And yes it is mega frustrating to post photos in a post. I always have to go back after its published to fix!!!

I share nine of your warm fuzzies.
If you replace the pool with riding on the back of the Harley- you would have created my list exactly.

I might do the tag, but seriously, you captured my top nine so I'll have to do some heavy thinking to come up with some more.

It is raining here today, which I LOVE! And I promised myself that today I will NOT complain about my curly hair that the rain enjoys "fuzzing up" for me ;)

I think you should make a collage of your photos and frame them and keep them by your bedside for inspiration when awaking and turning in for the night.

I think I will...today.

Awesome list. I'm reading from my phone so I can't see the photos but I'll be back to look. Substitute diet coke for the diet pepsi and lattes for the tea! The rest we have in common! :-)

That was lovely Diane and with piccys to!! I'm with you on so many things there you rebel! Puppy's, tea, the sea and rain...ohhh yes! And you've got to get that tattoo now. There's no turning back!

#10 No tattooing. If it's that important, you don't need a tattoo to remind you.
#9, dang...still haven't been swimming since JAWS! That darne Spielberg! He's so good!
#8 watch out for (no...you thought I was goping to say 'sharks' didn't you?) Orca. They will come right out of the water, up onto the shore, haul out to sea anything that stood there on the beach in disbelief....
#7 Yeah... camping. (and no taking the portable TV, either)
#6 Veggies from the local farm market. Absobloominglutely! Best tasting treats anybody can find anywhere!
#5 PUPPIES! (of course, there are some small Asian markets where you can get these and say "best tasting treats anywhere", too, but, let's not go there)
#4 Well, while fun as all get out, and, I'm with you on that. I still find myself doing that, too.
But, the gal on the right? Too far. WAY too far!
I guess I'm just a casual swinger. You know...upside down rocking chair kind'a swinger.
#3 Something I must try, again. Ma must have given me hot tea like that once. I can remember the taste from reading your sentence, but, since starting up with coffee, I add only sugar. So, something new to try (though I'm sure I've had it like that before)
#2 tulips. Nice. Pretty.
I leave mine in the ground, though, as it's easier. I'm a guy, though, and have nobody to cut them for, so...it's OK
And, the Number one Warm and Fuzzy, RAIN!
Personally I love the rain, but, only if I have an umbrella. Or it's really warm outside.

And, as it turns out, I'm trying the 'Warm and Fuzzy' right now. Ron Stock, a successful artist buddy of mine had suggested I try to paint 'warm and fuzzy' if I want to sell more art.
Well, it appears time to try, eh?

(by the way...nice umbrella!)

Awesome group of 10. I love the pictures you found.

I totally agree about what a pain picture posts can be, but I feel like they break up my boring words sometimes.

Diane - I love it that you are using Fhina-esque - I feel honoured - However, you have outdone moi, for the photos that you have selected are stunning, my darling, outstandingly beautiful...

I commend you, I am heartened by your important things, and I believe you will achieve all that you set out to do in life, Diane - for you are strong and soulful, and risk-taking (I've never even slept under canvas!), and beautiful...

And puppies... I wish I could do the 'heart' symbol that Braja uses, here... I (heart) puppies (and kittens, and anything that is adorable, including babies and their milky sweetnesses...) This was a wonderful posting, D! xox

Oh, I love your 10 things post! And the pics - worth the effort, although I hear you on the frustrating formatting! What is up with the blogging site that rearranges all your words and spacing the second you decide to insert a picture .... hmmmppph! Good selection of pics, by the way. Really love the first one! (All of them, really).

OOOhhh, I love your blog - just found it! the photo of the umbrella in the rain is gorgeous and the word believe...I had it engraved on a littl esilver bird that hangs from a bracelet on my wrist. Felt so down in the dumps this week but I love this post and feel brighter - thank you!

I like all your likes..but I can't swim..yet. I was admiring a swimsuit few months ago and had that in my wish list. I'll buy it when time permits me to learn swimming and when I can find somebody to teach me. Happy weekend!
