Happy Days Are Here Again...

Oh, happy day! Well, tomorrow will be. Well, for me, anyway. Not so much for Ryan. You know what tomorrow is? School! The first day of school! Whoo hoo!! Ryan's face has been tripping her all day while I can hardly contain my grin. She's convinced I hate her (and yes, I did remind her about the whole 'who ripped up all that carpet so you could have hardwood floors?' thing). I'll admit to being a little nervous for her, as it's her first day of middle school and all... but I feel pretty certain that once I drop her off (and run like hell), I'll be fine. Oh, right, and she'll be OK, too. I'll keep you posted...

Middle school is wonderful. So much more freedom and a healthy learning environment. She'll love it!

She'll have a blast. My daughter starts High School and I'm so excited for her. :)

WooHoo! Tell her NOT to talk to any older boys. For 10 more years....

That kid of yours is going to do great things in middle school.

Know how I know that?

'Cause she is your kid.

Try to hide your grin tomorrow morning, will ya'? At least until you drop her off and pull away from the curb, anyway. :)

Wishing her the best of the luck!

My love,
Theres some kind of conditioned pavlovian thing that just came over me...

You said 'first day of school'... and my mouth dried up and my palms got all sweaty...

Is that normal? lol

Sending you both big love on this big day,

M

I know what you mean... I was excited about my girls not being home all day. Only difference is their return to school also meant me going back to work!

Good luck to you and Ryan, I'm sure she will enjoy middle school, thats the same as high school here right?
Yes well I loved high school, so much more to learn and very interesting subjects to choose. ♡

Gah, middle school! I'm sure she'll be just fine, though. My daughter starts high school this year. She's excited, and I'm nervous. Go figure.

Yay for SCHOOL and for Ryan! She'll have a blast! All those good books and interesting projects and fun teachers! :-)

Good thing I still have two more weeks or I wouldn't have been able to join in this little celebration of yours! ;-)

Love you, Sweetness!

Freedom, it seems, is back from holiday tomorrow.

Ah... middle school. It's so tough for kids because it's all about identity. The insecure tend to flock together behind the most popular girl/guy... if they can. Sometimes those girls are the biggest biotches of all. Ryan's got a good head on her shoulders. Tell her to find other kids interested in sports. Usually newspapers and yearbooks are some pretty good activities to find other smart/nice kids.
