Wrong Again...

Not long ago, a workman mistook me for my mother’s granddaughter. My mom was quite put out (understandably) but I was quite tickled (in fact, I think I even snorted with actual glee). I chalked it up to, 1) the fact that my mother looks and feels considerably older than she is and, 2) that I look and feel considerably younger than I am.

Yeah.

Wrong again.

Turns out?

I wasn’t so much youthful-looking as I was, well, fat.

Turns out?

Fat fills out wrinkles.

Turns out?

When said fat is lost, wrinkles appear.

Like magic.

Black magic.

So, now I’m thinner… and older-looking!

Pfffttttt.

I call, “NO FAIR!

Damn it.

Sigh.

So, does anyone know a good wrinkle-filler-outer (you know, other than me ingesting 4,000 calories a day for the next couple of months)?

I’m just trying to avoid renting the sand-blaster.

Let me know.

Sorry - can't help you. I've already presented my solution to Bare Minerals, but they're not biting. A-holes.

ILY even if you are a wrinkled old bag, though. Just sayin'.

Don't you hate it when people link one of their old posts in your comment section like your blog is somehow supposed to be about them?

Heh.

LOL at Blognut.

I'm not sure whether using a sand-blaster would be a good idea. Health-wise I mean.

It's a tricky one Diane, face or figure as age creeps on and a choice needs to be made...I am for obvious reasons (ie, i eat too much) opting for face. But then again, it is winter here and I haven't got to contend with bikini issues for another 6 months, so maybe I will be reconsidering then. But a friend of mine, who has always been on the bigger side of life but looked radiant and gorgeous at all times, has lost a lot of weight this year and she does look older for it.
Maybe try some good old fake tan on your face to fill out the shadows of your sunken cheekbones and revel in the fact that you HAVE cheekbones!

Yes, I so recognize that, it is one evil or the other.;)
But I guess, as long as we feel good, we look good too and wrinkles adds to a woman's character.;) Remember that kid who wanted to date you?;))

Would you settle for a sheet of sandpaper and 3,500 calories a day?

My sister asked me this weekend if I had had botox because she just lost 30 lbs and has wrinkles now. I told her NO, I'm just a chubby muffin!

Gorilla glue some short rubber bands to the side of your cheeks. When dry, hitch the rubber bands behind your ears. Instant face lift... and you can secure your French braids at the same time. ;)

I would rather be thin than younger looking any day ... but that is just me.
