Snow... Snow... and More Snow...

Happy Saturday! Happy snowy Saturday, that is! It's been snowing in Pigsknuckle (and, indeed, across Virginia and several other states) since 6:00am yesterday. I thought I'd take a break from shoveling (which was sort of pointless, anyway, since I'm going to have to do it again later today) and show you what our neighborhood looks like right now. Luckily one of our neighbors has a plow, so he cleared the road in front of our houses, but these pictures will give you an idea of just how deep it is!

Looks comfy, no?

I won't be driving 'til Spring...

Yeah, it's deep...

Sundance and Peeto...
And the chase is on!

He's King of the Mountain!

Hope you're all warm and dry!! XOXO

These pictures are adorable! I'm here in York, PA, and we're definitely getting pounded with the white stuff as well!

My old Jack Russell Terrier, Trixie, isn't as fearless as your two dogs, I'm afraid. She takes one step onto the welcome mat of our front porch, then pees right there!
Poor thing just can't believe it!

Glad I found you, your site is great!

Hey! Where did that cat go? LOL

My son is in Roanoke and it sounds like so much fun. Enjoy it while you can. Looks like it'll be around for awhile, huh? Great weather for snuggling by the fire with a cup of coffee, tea, wine...

Looks like fun. Cold and beautiful fun. Sorry there's so much to shovel. But at least you still have power, right?

we got crushed in snow as well...

We got about the same amount ... it was crazy! I felt like we were living in a snow globe. The Little One is in heaven!

Snow would be beautiful to me if I didn't have to shovel or drive in it.

I sent the following comment to a local TV weather department.

"On your Friday evening report, your new million-watt weather radar was mentioned a zillion times, as if it were the holy grail of meteorology. We were told to expect 4 to 8 inches of snow north of the city [Pittsburgh] within 24 hours. My zero-watt yardstick showed 23 inches of snow in my yard on Saturday afternoon. Perhaps you wasted your money."

These pictures are just great Diane, so much snow and so much fun for everyone it seems except for those who have to drive.
It has been raining here for a week on and off, thunderstorms, flooding in some ares, quite a lot of damage, I think I would prefer some snow. xo ♡

Oh man, we got a pretty dumping from Friday til Saturday also. I shoveled for 3 hours yesterday and all I have to show for it is a hurt back and spot bigger enough to ALMOST get my car out. Back to shoveling :)

We haven't had a single drop of snow! I'm so bummed.

If I were you I'd build an igloo.

No snow here. And I'm not complaining.

Ooooh, you have no idea how miserable I would be!!! That's insane... I'd become a hermit until spring.

You certainly have had your fair share. But little white dogs might get lost! ;-0

It's that Spanish kid again, El NiƱo! How can some reversed currents in the Pacific have such an effect, not only in the US, but over here in Europe as well?! At least that's what they say.

I just found your blog today through "A Woman of No Importance". I love the way you voice your feelings and concerns. Would you consider teaching a writing course online? I would be first to sign up. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous photos and your view of life. Hugs and Kisses

That would be fun for about a half a day and then I'd want to come home. :)

Diane! I've been thinking about you and a few other friends on the east coast and wondering how you're weatherin' the weather! Hope you're staying safe and warm - looks like you're having fun! I'm a wee bit jealous of all that white fluffy stuff. Haven't seen that kind of snow since I was a kid!

Hope all is well! Stay warm! xoxoxo hjp

Um, your pics make me feel better about being so late commenting. We've been suffering cabin fever here. Friday was Lil Bits' first day back in school...and, of course, she's off tomorrow.

Hey, they're telling us "it's almost over!" Famous last words???
